Manalog is a gift list and wishlist app. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, which third parties help us run the service, and what choices you have.

What we collect

• Account information: your email address and name.
• List content: wishlists, gift lists, notes, item URLs, product details, and list sharing data.
• Gift activity: purchase status, claimed items, and related list activity so the app can prevent duplicate gifts.
• Usage and device data: basic technical information needed to operate, secure, and improve the service.

How we use information

• Provide login, account management, and core wishlist features.
• Store, sync, and display your lists and item data across the app and website.
• Identify products from pasted links, text, or images and improve product details.
• Support sharing, gifting coordination, fraud prevention, debugging, and customer support.
• Communicate about service updates, account issues, or policy changes.

Third-party services we use

We use a small set of service providers to run Manalog. They process data only as needed for their role.

• Supabase: authentication, database storage, and backend infrastructure.
• OpenAI: AI item identification and enrichment. Product text and, when applicable, product images may be sent to OpenAI's API to help identify an item.
• ScrapeFly and Brave Search: product data enrichment, including retrieving product details, images, or related metadata from public web pages.

Affiliate links

Some links on Manalog may be affiliate links. When Amazon Associates or similar programs are active, Manalog may earn a commission if you make a purchase through those links. That does not increase your price.

Cookies and similar technologies

We may use cookies or similar technologies to keep you signed in, maintain site functionality, understand how the site is used, and improve reliability and performance.

Data retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable period except where retention is legally required.

• You can delete your account and associated data by contacting us.

Children's privacy

Manalog is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will investigate and delete it if appropriate.

No sale of personal data

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
